A new website, built as a thank-you

By Alexander Zhdanov

Perth Baptist Church on the corner of James and Stirling Streets

Perth Baptist Church has been welcoming people in the middle of the city since 1895. Every week its doors open to locals and newcomers alike: families on a Sunday morning, students and backpackers around the Wednesday dinner table, and a group of new friends heading off on bikes on a Saturday.

I'm Alexander Zhdanov, a marketing and content specialist at AK Digital Media here in Perth. My job is helping organisations tell their story online. When I saw how much good happens in this building, I wanted to give something back. So I offered to rebuild the church's website free of charge, simply as a thank-you that a place like this exists in our city.

The new site is designed to make that first step easier. Service times and directions are on the first screen. "This week" updates itself, so it never shows old dates. There's a short guide for people who are new to Perth, a clear way to say hello or ask for prayer, a page for giving, and everything loads quickly on a phone.

If you spot something that needs updating, please let the church office know on (08) 9328 6507 or at secretary@perthbaptist.com.au. And if you've never visited, come along on a Sunday at 10 am. You'll be very welcome.
